Smart Start LLC was founded in 2017 after seeing too many people overpay for basic LLC filings and startup services. We saw entrepreneurs, small business owners, and hard-working individuals being charged hundreds — sometimes thousands — just to get their business registered. We knew there had to be a smarter, more affordable way to start.

As a long-time professional at Fox Communities Credit Union, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with countless people in my community — helping them open accounts, apply for loans, and grow financially. Over time, I realized that many of these same people had amazing business ideas but didn’t know where to start or who to trust.

That’s how Smart Start LLC was born — from a genuine desire to help others succeed, especially here in Wisconsin. We wanted to make starting a business simple, transparent, and affordable, while still providing the same quality and professionalism people would expect from large, expensive firms.
